Rimouski Parks & Gardens
This urban park is located along the river bank and offers a range of activities in both summer and winder including cycling, walking, ice-skating and sledding. Boat and kayak rentals are available and admission to the park is free.
This island, which is a 10 minute boat ride from Rimouski Marina, offers 20 km (12 mi) of hiking paths, picnic areas and plenty of opportunities for bird and animal watching. Visitors may also spend an afternoon exploring the beach and enjoying the views of Rimouski.
Located 2 km (1.2 mi) south of the tourism office, Parc Lepage is landscaped like a magical forest and features pedestrian paths, picnic areas and a petting zoo. Entrance to the park is free.
Reserve nationale de faune de Pointe-au-Pere (Pointe-au-Pere National Animal Reserve) is dedicated to protecting coastal plants and wildlife. Visitors may take the opportunity to explore the area daily from June to October.
Situated along the banks of the Rimouski River, this public park offers all-season recreational opportunities and is home to an array of community events and festivals. Lit walking trails, seasonal canoe and kayak rentals, beach volleyball courts, a children's playground, a winter ice skating trail and assorted public art installations are highlights.
